Zumba in Darlinghurst
Dance fitness, but make it a party. Join Zumba with Pawel for big music and good vibes. ESCAC Darlinghurst.
About This Class
If you're after a workout that feels like a night out (minus the 2am kebab), you're in the right place. This is a welcoming, queer-friendly, judgement-free Zumba class where you can show up as you are, move how you can, and leave feeling lighter.
Zumba is a dance-fitness program that feels like a party but works your whole body. We use simple, repeatable choreography set to energising music, so you get a cardio workout without staring at a clock. No dance experience needed — if you can move and follow along, you can do Zumba.
Our Darlinghurst class is the longest and liveliest session on the schedule. We've got a big, beautiful room at ESCAC, 70 minutes of non-stop energy, and two water breaks to keep you going. If you want the full experience, this is it.

What to Expect
This class is 70 minutes with two water breaks.
The vibe: All-levels friendly and judgement-free, with options to reduce impact (no jumping), slow it down, or take a pause whenever you need. Expect Latin rhythms, pop, and throwback bangers, with a little queer joy on top (sparkles optional, good vibes strongly recommended).
First-time tips: Arrive a little early, pick a spot where you can see me, and copy what you can. If you miss a move, keep stepping to the beat and jump back in when you're ready; breaks are allowed, dramatic hair flicks are encouraged (optional, but iconic).
A front-row myth (tiny PSA): Contrary to popular belief, the front row isn't always the easiest spot when you're new. Standing a little further back often helps, because you can follow the people in front of you and avoid the "mirror confusion" effect.
Accessibility and comfort: Lower-impact options are always available. You can pause, step out, or modify moves at any time. If you have access needs or questions about the space (sound level, lighting, stairs, seating), message me and I'll tell you what to expect.

Pawel W.
Pawel is a certified Zumba instructor based in Sydney who's been dancing since 2018 — all thanks to a silly bet at the gym that turned into a passion. Originally from Poland, he brings high energy, infectious enthusiasm, and an unapologetic love of Latin rhythms to every class. His certifications include Zumba, Zumba Toning, Zumba Gold, and Strong Nation. When asked why he became an instructor, Pawel says: "I wanted to control the playlist. That's actually true."
