Lunch Zumba in Sydney CBD / Circular Quay
Lunch break, but make it a dance party. 45 minutes of Zumba by Circular Quay, then back to your desk glowing and ready to smash your weekly KPIs.
About This Class
Office day in the city? Spend your lunch break doing something that actually wakes you up. This is a welcoming, queer-friendly, judgement-free Zumba class where you can show up as you are, move how you can, and leave feeling lighter (and weirdly more productive for the rest of the afternoon).
Zumba is a dance-fitness program that feels like a party but works your whole body. We use simple, repeatable choreography set to energising music, so you get a proper cardio hit without staring at a clock. No dance experience needed. If you can move and follow along, you can do Zumba.
Bring a colleague, drag the one who keeps "meaning to try Zumba", and reclaim your midday.
Upcoming Sessions
What to Expect
This class is 45 minutes with one short water break, designed to fit a lunch hour with time to freshen up after. We start the music by 12:05 pm and finish by 12:50 pm.
The vibe All-levels friendly and judgement-free, with options to reduce impact (no jumping), slow it down, or take a pause whenever you need. Expect Latin rhythms, pop, and throwback bangers, with a little queer joy on top.
First-time tips Pick a spot where you can see me, and copy what you can. If you miss a move, keep stepping to the beat and jump back in when you're ready. Breaks are allowed, dramatic hair flicks are encouraged (optional, but iconic).
Back to your desk It's a midday class, so come as you are. Loose work clothes are fine, but you'll want proper sports shoes. And you will sweat (I guarantee it), so bringing something you can move in to change into is a good idea.
What to Bring
- Comfortable, supportive shoes
- Clothes you can move in (a quick change at the desk works fine)
- Water
- A small towel (optional, but you'll thank yourself before your next meeting)
Location
180 George Street Community Space
Main Room

Getting There
You're a five-minute walk from both Circular Quay and Wynyard, so trains, ferries, light rail, and buses all drop you close by. There's lift access to Level 1.
If you're driving, this is the heart of the CBD, so parking is limited and pricey. Public transport is by far the easier option at lunchtime. Accessible (mobility) parking is available within 300m.
Pawel W.
Pawel is a certified Zumba instructor based in Sydney who's been dancing since 2018 — all thanks to a silly bet at the gym that turned into a passion. Originally from Poland, he brings high energy, infectious enthusiasm, and an unapologetic love of Latin rhythms to every class. His certifications include Zumba, Zumba Toning, Zumba Gold, and Strong Nation. When asked why he became an instructor, Pawel says: "I wanted to control the playlist. That's actually true."
